GREEN DOWN PROJECT

Green Down is a type of recycled down that is collected from once-used down products in Japan, washed in a factory in Japan, and then treated for recovery and reuse.

OUTLAST

Originally developed for NASA, Outlast technology, when incorporated into garment fabrics and fibres, gives them the capacity to absorb, store and release excess heat to continually regulate the skin's microclimate and maximize comfort levels at all times. Descente has used it to develop a superior stretchy liner for ski wear, ensuring excellent freedom of movement as well.

High functional lamination. A super durable water repellency that protects against heavy storm conditions. It is exceptional waterproof, highly windproof and has greatly improved moisture permeability for enhanced comfort.

THINSULATE™ INSULATION

This unique micro fiber insulation is ten times smaller than other synthetics with equal insulating power. The fibres trap warm air, reflect radiant body heat and deliver warmth two times greater than down and other polyester insulations.

MOTION 3D FIT

Descente uses Motion 3D (three-dimensional) patterns to design product that fit the sport specific movements your body makes as you stretch, move, and turn. With Motion 3D, Descente is able to design product on a 3-dimensionally model as opposed to the traditional 2-dimension flat pattern.

D-LASER

D-Laser is a cutting and welding technique that allows the designer to make intricately detailed embellishments that are impossible to achieve using traditional cut and sew methods.
